Update on Quack for the Cure

There is only 4 days left before our rubber duck race for Community Cancer Services. It is on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 4-6 p.m.

As of today, we have sold 300 rubber ducks along with our event t-shirts making our total amount raised around $1,400! Our goal is to have at least $500 left over after expenses to give to the Community Cancer Services (but I think we will surpass that goal by a lot).

If you haven't purchased a duck and want to, no worries! We decided we are going to have 50 extra ducks at the event to sell for those who want to participate in the duck race or who want to up their chances of winning by purchasing more rubber ducks!

We are also selling raffles at the event. Some of our top prizes include an mp3 player, a $50 Visa gift card, a $50 Pickard Street Grille gift certificate, and many other prizes.

Our sponsors include Bennigan's (who is providing free food at the event), Pepsi, Celebration Cinema, Meijer, Ace of Diamonds, The Mole Hole, Basketree, Boomers Night Club, VFW Post 3033 Men's and Women's Auxillary, C & S Sports Center, Headliners, Pickard Street Carwash, Tim Otteman, the Pelkki family, the Rios family, and Cheryl Sherman.

We really appreciate all their donations and help with our event! Thank you!

So come out to our event and support a good cause while having some fun! :)
